FAQs

1. What are the main differences between Insta360 Link 2 and Insta360 Link 2C?

Insta360 Link 2 and Insta360 Link 2C offer the same 4K image quality, professional audio, AI noise-canceling and specialized modes. The main difference is the gimbal design.

Insta360 Link 2 supports AI Tracking with its 2-axis gimbal, ideal for online educators and content creators who need to move around the room.

While Insta360 Link 2C does not have a gimbal, it offers advanced Auto Framing, which automatically zooms and adjusts to keep everyone in frame. This is ideal for personal meetings and gaming live streams with minimal movement.

2. What is the difference between Whiteboard Mode and Smart Whiteboard Mode?

Whiteboard Mode automatically enhances a whiteboard display by identifying the four included Recognition Markers in each corner of the whiteboard. Smart Whiteboard Mode automatically detects and enhances whiteboards without any Recognition Markers when Virtual Camera is enabled in the Link Controller software.

3. Can I connect the Insta360 Link 2 series webcams to my smartphone?

While the webcams are designed for laptops and computers, you can use Remote Smartphone Control to remotely control your webcam from your smartphone. Scan the QR code in the Link Controller with your smartphone to perform advanced operations, switch modes, adjust parameters, control gimbal movements, and more. Remote Smartphone Control works via Wi-Fi. Ensure your phone and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

4. How do I mount the webcam to my laptop?

Insta360 Link 2 and Insta360 Link 2C can be securely mounted to your laptop with the included Magnetic Mount. You can also use the Magnetic Mount to attach them to the Mini 2-in-1 Tripod for maximum stability and vertical mounting.

5. How many people can I track with Group Tracking?

We recommend tracking 2–3 people in Group Tracking for the best results.

6. What is the recommended operating system for the Insta360 Link 2 series, and what are the system requirements?

Both webcams are compatible with Windows and macOS.
